SYNOPSIS - the biggest revelation of the show so far happens in this episode. this is what makes LOST so appealing because you never know when its going to happen and when it does it changes everything. the focus of this episode centers on the life of Sun and Jin, the two Korean couple. we get to see how mysterious the couple are when Jin attacks Michael out of the blue. as a result Jin officially becomes the first prisoner of the crew. it was quite surprising to see in the flashbacks that Jin was actually a servant working for Sun's family. how could Jin has changed to such a harsh and cold person to Sun when he should be glad to have such a rich and beautiful women. as the episode reveals, Jin proposes to Sun by asking her father and gets the permission but only if he works for him in exchange. it seems quite alright until one day Jin enters the house covered with blood that Sun realizes what kind of man Jin has become working for her father. on one end Sun no longer feels happy or love for Jin but on the other end Jin completely loves Sun and he is willing to do anything to be together. this explains how Jin acts so crude towards Sun but at the same time expresses deep love for her. from the flashback we also get a glimpse of Sun trying to run away from Jin but eventually she doesn't and stands by him. that split decision she made cost her being on the island.
now the biggest revelation of the show is that it turns out Sun actually speaks English and fully communicates with Michael about the misunderstanding. in return I believe she asks Michael to scare Jin and teach him a lesson. as far as the progress of the crew goes, Jack proposes to everyone that they should move into the caves. it provides unlimited fresh water and good cover. but Sayid disagrees and as a result we see the crew split into two groups now.
