LOST Season 2: Ep.5 - "... And Found"



CHARACTER MODE

How did Jin, a servant of Sun's father, get Sun to love him and why is Jin so ashamed of his father being a fishermen? From the flashbacks we learn that Sun has just finished university and now her parents are pressuring her to get married. So they arrange a meeting with a wealthy individual who was very normal and straight forward and both got along very well. When they met again in a hotel, he reveals to her that they no longer have to meet and once again be free. Sun gets confused until he says to her that he loves someone else in America and Sun's heart crushes into pieces.
Jin on the other hand is busy getting ready for a job interview at a hotel as a doorman. His friend tells him when he will get a women, Jin replies with obvious certainty that he has no plans to meet a women because he wants to gets promoted and become someone bigger than to simply be a fishermen. His friend tells him he is going to meet some women today dressed in orange, Jin laughs and runs for his interview. When he meets the manager of the hotel, the manager asks Jin never to allow "people like him" enter the hotel and gives him the job. Jin uneasy accepts the offer. One day Jin opens the door to the wealthy individual who was going to meet Sun but going in he asks Jin to give him a small flower pinned to his uniform, Jin gladly accepts. Later Sun rushes off after hearing the bad news with Jin's flower at hand. That same day, Jin is asked by a poor man to let his son use the washroom, Jin feeling bad allows but his good intention is caught by the hotel manager who dissonances his action. Jin doesn't like how he treats people and quits. Later that day as Jin is walking by the canal he bumps into Sun and immediately their eyes connect.


STORY MODE

On the other side of the island, the captures tell Sawyer, Jin and Michael to take them to their camp. As they start their journey, Michael figures out that the "others" live somewhere in the jungle and rushes off to get Walt. Jin loyal, follows but before he leaves Mr.Eko (large black dude) offers his help. Sawyer with his favourite quote "every man for himself" leaves with the rest towards the camp. Jin and Mr.Eko follow Michael's track until they hear footsteps of the "others" Immediately they hide and from their POV they could see the "others" dirty legs with bare foots. As the last of the "others" pass by, Jin notices one of them dragging a teddy bear. They finally catch up with Michael who has been screaming like a lunatic for Walt. Mr.Eko lets him know that he wont find his son and with Jin's assurance, Michael agrees and leaves with them.
On the other side, we see Sun worried sick about losing her wedding ring. She goes crazy looking for it until she gets frustrated and rips her garden apart. Locke appears and offers her some advice that says "sometimes if you want to find something, you have to stop looking". Later we see Sun looking into the ocean when Kate appears and tells her everything is going to be okay but it isn't. She tells Kate that she hid the message bottle and Kate is immediately gets worried. Both revisit the burial site and Kate opens up the bottle to read Sawyer's goodbye message until Sun stops her. Right at that spot, Sun finds her ring and she bursts into tears.
