LOST Season 2: Ep.18 - "Dave"

Why was Hurley admitted into a mental house and why does Hurley think he has seen Libby somewhere?

So far in the series we have seen several characters come face to face with their loved ones from the past such as Kate with the horse, and Jack with his dad. When Hurley comes face to face to special someone from his past, we find out it is nothing but a imaginary friend he made up to stop himself from changing by eating. The reason why Hurley never wanted to change was because he hated himself for killing those people in the lift due to his weight even though his weight was not to the real cause. As a result he did nothing but eat and isolate himself from the public and eventually was admitted into a mental hospital. Through the guidance of his psychotherapist Hurley did recover and was released. Back on the island, his imaginary friend called Dave appeared again because he blamed himself for crashing the plane and everything else and started eating again. It went so far that Hurley convinced himself to committing suicide. Luckily Libby came just in time and stopped Hurley by committing to helping him recover. But just as the the episode ends, we see Libby sitting in the same mental house as Hurley, totally oblivious to her surrounding. What was Libby doing in a mental hospital?

Henry (Other) - "Nothing happened, the numbers started back to 108"

Locke confronts Henry angry for lying to him about his identity but Henry changes everything Locke has come to believe about the hatch. He tells him that he did nothing to stop the clock, the numbers simply started back to 108 minutes. Is Henry playing games again or is he really telling the truth?

What kind of sin did Sun commit to make her believe the island was a place of punishment?

When Sun was about to leave Jin at the airport, she decided not to because deep inside, she still loved Jin very much and it wasn't the fact that they both fought a lot and what Jin was becoming due to line of work he was given by Sun's father. It was more about biological than anything else. Sun wasn't able to give birth because there was something wrong with Jin. Jin never knew of this so he always blamed Sun until Sun came out with the truth to Jin on the island when she found out that she is pregnant. Jin believes its a miracle that Sun is pregnant even though he couldn't conceive a baby. Sun assures Jin that she never cheated on him but what about the relationship she had with the hotel owner? Could the whole truth still to be revealed?

Locke - "there is a man locked in my hatch, and I need to get him out"

The mastery of Henry Gale starts working on Locke, who begins to feels Jack has taken the limelight from him and furthermore needs to prove to everybody who's in charge. In order to get more out of Henry Gale he requests Ana Lucia to talk to him but Ana immediately realizes that there is some tension between Locke and Jack. LOST Season 2: Ep.15 - "Maternity Leave"

What happened to Claire when she was abducted by Ethan?

In this episode we finally find out what happened in those two weeks Claire was gone. It turns out Ethan had injected Claire's baby with needles for an experiment he was conducting. His plans were to kills Claire in the operation and take the baby out of her womb. Why was Ethan interested in Clarie's baby? In the baby crib that Ethan made for Claire, there was a miniature flying airplanes hanging in the crib. If you look closely, the planes logo states "Oceanic Airlines". Does Oceanic Airlines have anything to do with the island? Before Ethan could get his hand on her, a young teenage girl named Alex, who is Rousseau's daughter saves her and leaves her in the woods. Rousseau appears and tries to help her but not without getting scratched by Claire first. Also why did Alex save Claire's life?

Henry Gale - "Why do you let Jack call the shots"

Jack and Locke continue to lock Henry Gale and yet don't know why they are doing it and for how long just like how they don't know why they are punching in the numbers in the computer screen. My best guess, they are afraid of the unknown and they don't want anything bad to happen. In the mean while, Eko figures out there is someone in the infirmary and black mails Jack to let him speak to Henry Gale in order to confess his sins from killing the two men who attacked his camp the day they crashed on the island. At the same time, Henry Gales realizes there is some kind of power struggle going on between Jack and Locke and so tries to play against each other.

LOST Season 2: Ep.14 - "One of Them"

SAYID - "I torture because I feel no guilt"

We know Sayid's past has been full of pain and grieve. From his past, he worked in the republican guard as a torturer, torturing people he actually loved like Nadia and innocent people who later came back with revenge. Then on the island Sayid loses Shannon, who was killed due to an accident but it could have also been the island it self. Sayid promised himself never to torture after the asthma incident, but after Shannon's death, the emotional baggage, he needed someone to take his anger out, connecting to his deep and secret past of torture. That someone became Henry Gale, a new character introduced by Rousseau who claims, he is one the 'others'. Uncertain about Rousseau's claim and if Henry Gale is actually telling the truth, Sayid uses this opportunity to torture in order to find the truth but more important release his pain from Shannon's death.

In this episode we learn that Kate's father was the marine responsible for Sayid's capture. There has been several incidences where the lives of each one on the island has in some or another way intersected before. What does this mean? We also learn that Sayid learned his torture skills from the American commander who persuaded him to find the whereabouts of the missing pilot from his commanding officer no matter what. Is Sayid inherently a torturer or is it merely his lack of overcoming his past sins?

Locke - "We are at war Jack"

The mysterious Henry Gale has brought greater tension between Jack and Locke. Both are at odds on what to do with their new prisoner. What if Henry Gale is really telling the truth or what if he is really one of the 'others'. How can they find the truth? When Locke couldn't punch in the numbers on time, the clock turned all red with strange symbols. Is the computer room really a bogus experiment or the destroyer of the planet?

LOST Season 2: Ep.13 - "The Long Con"

CHARACTER MODE

We have come to known Sawyer as egoist, self-fish and crude individual but by the end of this episode we learn something about Sawyer that has been long overdue, evil. From the previous season, we learned Sawyer's childhood was ruined when his dad killed him self and his mom because of a con man named 'Sawyer', a name James picked up when he followed the con man to seek revenge until he became the person he was looking for. We also he got tricked by his long time associate into killing an innocent man in Australia who he thought was the actual 'Sawyer'. In this episode we learn how far Sawyer is willing to go for the sake of finishing the con. Cassidy becomes Sawyer's victim in the episode when he plays the same game he did with other divorced and desperate women until Cassidy figures it out. Instead of turning Sawyer in she joins Sawyer in his con life. Months pass by as both do simple con missions until Cassidy asks for the long con and by the end of the episode we learn Cassidy was the long con all along. Sawyer knew she had the money but in the end he decides not to go through when his employer shows up, reminding him what it is at stake. So Sawyer finishes the job anyway and forever loses the only one he ever loved.

STORY MODE

On the island, new forms of relationships are established since the plane crashed.Tensions arise when Sun is dragged out in the woods by Charlie who wanted Locke to feel stupid and lonely by helping Sawyer get hold of all the guns. This happened because Jack and Ana Lucia, who have deep hatred for the 'Others' try to take the guns when Locke figures it out and hides them. This produces the divide between Locke and Jack even further when their trust among each other is shattered. The role of Ana Lucia brings some jealousy within Kate who has great doubts about her and comes forward with it to Jack and now Jack has some second thoughts about what Ana Lucia is capable of. All in all the rest of this is easily over shadowed now that Sawyer has all the guns everybody needs. To some extent it is good for the crew, so that they don't get emotional and run of into the jungle but at the same time its dangerous to have all guns in the hands of a con man who doesn't care much about the rest of the crew.

LOST Season 2: Ep.9 - "What Kate Did"

CHARACTER MODE

Some of questions that were left unanswered in Season 1 were why did Kate's mom yell for help when Kate came to see her? Also who was sending Kate money when she was on the run?

From the flashbacks we learn that Kate killed a man, by leaking the gas pipes and incinerating the guy along with the house. She later visits her mom and hands her money she got from the insurance claim which she signed on her mom's name. Instead of being glad, her mom calls the police on Kate and gets her arrested by the Marshall who we came to know from Season 1. While being sent to jail, in the way a black horse appears distracting the Marshall and crashing straight into light pole. Kate takes the opportunity and runs away but not before glancing at the horse which saved her. Flash forward in the future, we see Kate visiting a Army recruiting office where she meets an old man who she calls dad. She asks him why he didn't tell her that the man she killed was actually her father. He replies that he knew she would kill him instead because apparently he doesn't have murder in his heart. Back on the island, Kate sees the same black horse wondering in the jungle. At first it would seem that Kate is imagining but when Sawyer sees it too, we start to wonder if the island is playing tricks or is there something else beyond our comprehension.

STORY MODE

In this episode we get to learn more about the DHARMA Initiative when Eko reveals presents Locke with the missing film real hidden in the Bible. Now the hatch the tail section survivors and the hatch Locke opened is some how related to each other. We don't know in what way but the missing film real only gives out more warning regarding not to use the computer for outside communication. LOST Season 2: Ep.8 - "Collision"

CHARACTER MODE

It is quite evident from the previous episode that the tail section survivors had the worst encounter with the "others" but it wasn't clear how Ana Lucia would become the only women everybody hates. We get a pretty good understanding of Ana Lucia's tough personality from the flashbacks. We learn Ana Lucia used to be a cop back in L.A. and we also learn that she got shot in the stomach when she was pregnant. The most important characteristic that comes out the strongest from Ana Lucia is the sense of relieve and power she enjoys when she acquires a gun in her hands. When Ana Lucia was given the option of putting away her baby killer she refused just so she could kill him her self and so she did with no remorse. It seems the only thing Ana Lucia is comfortable with is holding a hand in her hands, otherwise she is helpless and vulnerable.

STORY MODE

As Ana Lucia is holding everybody captive, the other 40 survivors are having quite a relaxing moment. Jack and Kate duke it out with playing golf and everybody has resumed their normal surviving roles. Everything turns haywire when Eko returns with Sawyer with a bullet in his shoulder. Jack filled with sorrow and rage invites Michael for a gun battle when Eko tells him that Ana Lucia made a mistake and suddenly Jack realizes what he is actually going against. While Eko and Jack make their towards Ana Lucia, Bernard, blond chick, and Jin leave her with Sayid. Ana Lucia asks if she should kill Sayid, Sayid responds with the horrific nightmares he has every day from the people he had tortured, and tells Ana Lucia maybe she was meant to shoot him. Ana Lucia comes out and tells him the story of this baby killer but instead she lies and tells him that she never found the killer. I wonder why? Later she lets Sayid go and Sayid by this time has no anger towards Ana Lucia because he knows she is already dead inside. When Jack returns he looks at Ana Lucia's straight in her eyes, at first he is fond of meeting her but second later she is angry at her for killing Shannon and immediately we can see Ana Lucia looking down.

LOST Season 2: Ep.7 - "The Other 48 Days"

STORY MODE

We know that when the plane slipt in the air, it broke into three pieces, the cockpit, the body and the tail section. So far in the series we have been told the story of the survivors of the body and now we get to see the story of the tail section survivors in one episode.

The episode begins with the tail section crashing close to the beach and amazingly most of the passengers survive the crash. Immediatly from the crew few stand out, Ana Lucia and Eko who struggle to get everybody off the water. Ana provides a girl with mouth to mouth resusitation, and when the girls comes back alive, Ana Lucia promises her that she will get her to her mother soon. A promise we know wont happen. Right then, a somebody from the jungle runs out named Goodwin yells out for help, Ana follows. In the jungle we see Bernard stuck on the tree with his seat. Ana calmy helps Bernard off the tree and we immediatly we see that Ana is a very calm, strong and hopefull person but unfortuantly after a series of incidents change Ana Lucia forever. That same night of the crash, the survivors get attacked. Eko manages to kill two of them. The crew examines them and figure out that these people have been in the island long before them. Three of the survivors disappear that night. The attackers invade the camp again and take the children away and this time Ana loses and kills one of them. When Ana's examines her victim a list of names to be abuducted appears. Ana figures someone in the crew is a spy. The crew move to the jungle and Ana builds a prison hole and dumps one of the crew members who always seemed very suspecious and always used to disappear in the jungle. After days of interrogation, Goodwin kills the prisioner and immediatly we figure out he was the actual spy. Bernard tries to use the radio and for the first time someone answers but we figure out that it was actually Boone on the other side. Goodwin suggests that we can get better reception if they go higher up the mountain and Ana volunteers to help. Both take a brake up the mountain and Ana starts to talk about the knife the attackers were carrying. It seems the knife was made in the 70 or 80's, how is that possible, how long have these people been on the island. Ana tries her luck with Goodwin to see if he's the actual spy by asking how he knew Bernard was stuck up the tree when everybody was in the water. Goodwin figures out he's been caught and fights and luckly he dies.

Later the crew finds Jin's body and they tie him up but he escapes and we Sawyer and Michael reach the beach and the whole recap begins until we reach the deadly point where Sayid is holding Shannon in his hands and Ana pointing the gun.
