SYNOPSIS - with the crew freaked out about what happened to Claire, Sawyer and Kate take a little pressure off and jumping into a waterfall they happened to find. you could see Sawyer and Kate warming up but it doesn't last long when they find a dead couple from the plane crashing holding each others hands. when Kate looks close she sees a briefcase underneath the dead couples seat. after getting it out Sawyer gets suspicious when Kate claims its her but doesn't know how to open it so she lets it go with Sawyer. when they get back to the beach, Kate attempts to get back the briefcase from Sawyer but fails when he locks her with his leg. this has happened several times when Sawyer has leg locked Kate not that I am complaining it does look very sexy. now why does Kate want the briefcase so badly but acts as if she doesn't care. well from the flashbacks we learn that Kate was part of bank robbery where she played the role of a innocent bystander to get the manager of the bank to open the safe. this is exactly what happens until she shoots the rest of the bank robbers and demands from the bank manager to open a deposit box 815. coincidentally that's the same number of Oceanic flight. in the deposit box we see a simple envelope and the flashback ends. Kate´s attempt to get the briefcase from Sawyer fails so she tries to get Jack to get it for her by explaining it to him that the briefcase has four 9mm guns with a round of bullets and it wouldn't be a good idea if Sawyer gets a hold of them. Jack doesn't buy her full story so he demands that they both open the briefcase together. when Jack gets the briefcase back from Sawyer and opens it with Kate her, the briefcase does turn out what she said but also a envelope that Kate had acquired from the bank. when she opens it, its a miniature size plane. Jack is confused and asks her what it is and Kate replies that it belonged to the man she loved but more importantly to the man she killed. (Q - who was the man Kate loved and eventually killed)
back on the island, the crew on beach move to a higher ground because their original location got washed up from high tides. Sayid tries to get the maps translated from Shannon . after a while it turns out her translation and what Sayid thinks it supposed to be doesnt match so they both get frustrated. later that night Shannon approaches Sayid and explains that the words on the map are actually lyrics of a famous french song. well that doesnt really help anybody.
